Hello! We now have a LGBTQI+ Meditation Circle which meets outdoors at Himmel Park (Treat Ave. side just north of the library) on the 2nd and 4th Sundays at 9am (8 am as the summer heat starts). Look for the little Gay Pride flag. Bring a chair to be comfortable.
The meditation group starts with an intro followed by a 20-minute unguided “sit” or meditation. Then we have a break, another 20-minute sit and a closing. This structure is flexible. This is a drop-in group and all are welcome.
We have found Himmel Park to be a busy place on Sunday mornings and we are glad to add our queer circle to this community of groups and activities. There will be noises and sounds. We all find meditation together to be bonding and useful for relieving the stresses of daily life.
