WASHINGTON, DC– Today, Marcus Hill, President of the Senior Executives Association (SEA)–representing the interests of over 8,000 career federal executives in the Senior Executive Service (SES), Senior Level (SL), Scientific and Professional (ST) and equivalent positions and other senior career federal leaders,- released the following statement reacting to President Biden’s announcement of the 2024 Presidential Rank Awardees:

“SEA celebrates President Biden’s selection of 236 Presidential Rank Award (PRA) recipients, representing 30 federal agencies. These awards are the highest level of recognition available to career civil servants who work in our federal government and are bestowed upon the government’s best performers and most impactful public service leaders. These award nominations undergo thorough in-depth reviews and affirmation of results by citizen-review panels,” Hill said. “SEA encourages President Biden and federal agencies to tell the stories of these Presidential Rank Awardees and the accomplishments they have helped their agencies and programs deliver for the American people. During an era when the merit-based civil service system and career servants continue to experience intense scrutiny, SEA believes the hard work, dedication, patriotism and excellence of these public servants must be recognized, appreciated and celebrated.”
