Shoes are not sold as one-size-fits-all. They’re available in different sizes and shapes to fit our specific needs. So too, routine healthcare does not always fit individuals with unique and distinctive conditions.
Occasionally conditions are so rare that a physician may not know about them, or if they do, it’s not something they have extensive experience with. I will find the physician/s who are most capable of making a definitive diagnosis. We can all work together to devise a treatment plan to fit your unique needs.
No disease is too unusual or rare for me. That does not mean I know it all. However, my training in Pathology (Ph.D. Vanderbilt University, 2000) provides me with a sound foundation to tackle any disease. As your independent patient advocate, I will thoroughly research your condition and identify relevant medical, scientific, and academic experts. The ultimate goal is to find any and all resources to help you.
