The Pines Home Health & Hospice

We have been supporting the people of Yavapai County since 2005 by providing expert care and guidance so our patients and their families can have peace, comfort, and quality of life. We have cared for thousands of people throughout the Prescott, Chino Valley, Prescott Valley, Dewey-Humboldt, Camp Verde, Cottonwood, Sedona, and surrounding communities of Yavapai county.

As you can imagine, not everyone is cut out to care for those who are dying. It takes special people to provide great care. Members of the Hospice of the Pines team must have “The Hospice Heart.” The Hospice Heart is expressed by sharing Time, Presence, Grace, and Compassionate Confidence.

Time: This is your time. Sometimes those we care for want more of our time, and other times less. We do our best to slow down and make sure our care is just right for the patient and family based on physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
Presence: When we are with you, we are focused on you.
Grace: No judgement. Every person and family is different. We provide individualized care because everyone deserves to be treated with love, compassion, and dignity.
Compassionate Confidence: The best of our expertise delivered with the depth of our compassion

The hospice philosophy is based on the belief that caring for someone’s physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs provides great comfort. Therefore, every hospice brings together a group of professional disciplines that work together to care for the patient. Many hospices simply learn to cooperate with each other: each discipline checking off their boxes, staying in their area of expertise, and reporting to the others what they did.

The Pines Home Health and Hospice believes the best care comes when we collaborate in the care of our patients and their families. This means we problem solve together, we hold each other accountable to provide their best, we train together, we celebrate each other, and we help each other grow in our professions. We have done the hard work and training to be a team that ensures our patients and their families get our best. One of our social workers summed it up when he stated, “Every place says they believe in teamwork, but I have to tell you, we really mean it and do it.” Hospice of the Pines’ team is committed to being great together so you can experience peace, comfort, and quality of life.
