People Who Care

People Who Care is a nonprofit organization that provides transportation and other non-medical services at no charge to Neighbors in the Quad Cities who are no longer able to drive due to age, vision issues, or disabilities. Our assistance enables them to safely and successfully age in place, access essentials like healthcare and food, and enjoy an enriched quality of life.

Our Volunteers
Our volunteers provide door-through-door transportation, escorting our Neighbors on errands and appointments. They also offer friendly visits & phone calls, non-medical family caregiver relief, technology assistance, home safety assessments, minor home repairs, and personal paperwork assistance for Neighbors with impaired vision or memory issues. Perhaps most importantly, our volunteers build meaningful connections that reduce loneliness and isolation.

Our Mission
Volunteers helping adults physically unable to drive continue living in their homes by providing essential transportation and other non-medical assistance.
